Once we get the go-ahead to proceed with surgery, we’ll start by developing a customized pain management plan, using the safest available anesthetic products, that is tailored specifically to your pet’s unique needs. Our doctors will work diligently and efficiently to perform your pet’s operation in a way that minimizes risk and provides for the best possible outcome. During surgery, our highly qualified care team will be on hand at all times to assist with surgery and to closely monitor your pet’s blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and oxygen levels as well as manage their pain control throughout the procedure.
When surgery is complete, we’ll carefully move your pet to our warm, quiet recovery area where we will continue to monitor their wellbeing. A member of our team will contact you to explain how the procedure went, discuss any pertinent information and arrange for you to come retrieve your pet. Before bringing your companion home, we’ll discuss our recommended aftercare instructions, including pain control as needed to help make the recovery process a little more comfortable.
